In the days before Brexit and Trump we were asked to curate a visual arts festival in the very fine city of Galway in Ireland. We were very nervous. We’d never curated a festival before. But we gave it a go. There ended up being 40 or so artists plus a public art strand on an uninhabited island. We may have gone a little over the top. It was really very popular however. We called it ‘What Became of the People we used to Be? as there seemed to be a corrosive nostalgia in the air and a need for alternative and much nastier realities. Maybe we had a glimpse of what was coming. Also we had a soft spot for certain 1970s comedies. Anyway we thought you might like to see the catalogue which was based on Abridged.
